$5033.88!

Is how much money we raised for City Of Hope at The 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. We had great weather and 72 players took off in a shotgun start at 10.30am on Monday April 14. Hawaii was the theme for the event and a Hole In One Contest on Hole #12 offered a week of golfing for two in Hawaii. Siv Aberg was hired to be the witness but unfortunately nobody was Hole-In-One lucky this time. Tanya Fasanella was very close – one foot – but as they say “close but no cigar”!

There were three more Hole-in-One contests on the remaining long Par3 holes, but unfortunately no winners for those holes either. A dart game, run by Amanda Berris and Helga Zheutlin,  was the attraction on Hole #16 and challenged the teams to get 50 points or more in order to deduct a stroke from their score. The shot of tequila on hole #18, offered by Simple Impact LLC, prepared the players for the On-Course-Contests – Closest to Line, Closest to Pin, Buy-A-Drive – and maybe it contributed to the necessity of the mulligans included. Annie Consoletti designed all the signs, Lisa Yarrick and Diana Ljungaeus did the registration and Diana did the drive around the course taking pictures.

The winners went home with:

  • Rounds of golf from Tiera Rejada, DeBell, Olivas Links and Buena Ventura.
  • Shirts from Adidas and San Soleil (SPF 50 sunproof)
  • Gift certificates from Canyon Grill, The Grill in the Alley in Beverly Hills and Roger Dunn Golf Shop.
  • Head covers, golf balls and leis

Some participants went home with attractive Silent Auction and Raffle items and Monique Miller was the lucky winner of the iPad Mini that had been donated by Susan Flora. Susan, who has been a generous supporter of this event every year, lost her fight against cancer just the week before the event. She is truly missed!
